After School Care

Our After School Karate programme is ideally suited to working parents. The programme is designed to give our students the best possible care after school, as well as giving them the skills they need to progress in their Martial Arts studies.

The Zen Dan Kwan After School programme is unique as it is only available to students of the Martial Arts. This means that all the children in the programme are taught to respect each other and to follow the rules of the Dojang. This encourages children to hold themselves to a higher level of behaviour standards than other centres demand. This makes Zen Dan Kwan After School programme the safest as well as most rewarding programme for children.

Each day your child will be collected from their school by one of our professional School of Martial Arts Instructing staff. They will be brought back to the School of Martial Arts in time for the beginning of their class. At the School, children will change into their Martial Arts uniforms and prepare to participate in a traditional Martial Arts class.

In each class the children will learn new skills to increase their mental growth and physical health. The students will attend classes each day they attend After School Karate. At regular intervals the students will participate in Tip Tests and Belt Exams.

After their Martial Arts class, the students retire to the dedicated After School Karate area in the School. This is an area set up for the exclusive use of the After School Karate students. This area is supplied with art and craft supplies, a computer lab, toys and games for the students to use and with plenty of soft furnishings for the students to relax on after a long day at school and at Martial Arts! Children also have the time and opportunity to work on their homework during this time.

Children are collected from the School of Martial Arts each day before 6:00PM. Students can participate once per week or every day of the week, depending on the needs of their family.
